On February 2, 2024, the feast of the Presentation of the Lord, the religious profession of vows was held at the novitiate in Uganda. In the presence of the Superior General Emiliana and in the presence of sisters working in Africa, priests, and local people, during the Mass celebrated by Salesian Fr Pierre Celestine, two novices professed their first vows and rejoiced in the birth of the first African members of the Congregation.

 Congregation of Caritas Sisters of Jesus entered South Sudan in 2011, and the missionaries, along with the people, fled the civil war and lived a life of refuge in Uganda. While continuing their apostolate there, a house of formation was opened in Uganda in 2019 and began the formation for women who aspire to religious life.

 Please pray for our novices, postulants, and aspirants who are being trained as apostles of the love of Jesus' heart for mission, education, and welfare activities in Africa.

November 22, 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the return to heaven of our founder, Fr Antonio Cavoli. To remember the legacy of his teachings and example, we are offering you this video, and wish you the grace to be able to live our mission with joy: that is to give witness to the merciful love of Christ (Caritas) to all, especially to the poor, the sick and the suffering.

 

 

 

On May 29, 2020, there was a Perpetual Profession Ceremony for Sr. Clara Mary Joy Larawan and Sr. Lucia Jovelyn Apurado at the Convent of Caritas Sisters of Jesus in Quezon City, Philippines. The COVID 19 Virus affected many things, but the Perpetual Profession Mass was so solemn and beautifu, which was celebrated by the Parish Priest, Fr. Gideon Antolin Lagrimas, Augustine Order(OLCP). The Two sisters, who were loved by the Community sisters, made vows with their gratitude and joy, offering themselves totally to the Lord. Also they expressed their sincere thanks to everyone who supported them with many encouragements and prayers so far.

 

 

 

 

The 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of Caritas Don Bosco School in the Philippines

On February 2, 2020, the Caritas Don Bosco School in the Philippines celebrated its 25th anniversary. The school had planned the opening events of 25th Anniversary for three days. But in support of those affected and suffered by the eruption of Taal Volcano, it was shortened to one day. The memorial Mass and the operetta, “Blind of Jericho”, which was prepared for a year, was performed. During the Mass, the choir and the brass band were played by the students and the operetta, which reflected the active creativity of students, was wonderful enough to be applauded by the audience. While feeling the motivation, strength, joy, and hope of our students, we thanked God for the past 25 years and prayed for further development.
